Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club: “I’m excited and honored that the HFPA has recognized my performance in Dallas Buyers Club. Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle: “Thank you to the HFPA. This is so exciting. I’m thrilled that the film received so many nominations and that I get to share this with the rest of the cast.”
Kerry Washington, Scandal: “I’m enormously grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press for this honor. It’s humbling to be nominated alongside such talented and hard-working women whose work inspires me.”
Judi Dench, Philomena: “What great news! I’m delighted, and hugely honored to be in such magnificent company. And without the inspiration of Philomena herself I wouldn’t of course be receiving this recognition.”

Farewell, Finn Hudson. Emotional, gut-wrenching and heartbreaking are just a few of the words to describe Glee’s highly anticipated Cory Monteith tribute episode that finally aired Thursday night. The episode — so perfectly titled “The Quarterback” — does not reveal how the charming Hudson died (as previously promised by creator Ryan Murphy), and doesn’t include a funeral. Instead, the storyline primarily centers around someone stealing Finn’s letterman jacket, and with Mr. Schue (Matthew Morrison) asking the Glee members to sing songs for Finn that either remind them of him, or something he himself had sung before.
